Kokomado needs no account. The developer collects no personal information — no names, emails, location or usage data — and uses no ads or third-party analytics.
Cards, nicknames and dates are stored only on your iPhone and in Apple's iCloud (CloudKit). The developer cannot see them.
Once you connect with an invitation link, you both view and add the same cards through Apple's iCloud sharing. Shared data is stored in the inviter's iCloud. The inviter can stop sharing and the invitee can disconnect at any time.
Accessed only when you take or choose a photo; it becomes part of a card saved in iCloud.
When you leave a card, answer or poke, the app sends a notification request to Kokomado's push relay (running on Cloudflare), which hands it to Apple's push service for your person's iPhone. The request contains only their device's push token, your nickname, the short text shown in the notification (the card's caption, an emoji or the poke's words) and where the card is in iCloud — never the card picture. The relay only passes it on and stores nothing. Their iPhone reads the card picture straight from iCloud. The evening reminder and date reminders are created on your iPhone.
Purchases are handled by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details.
